Fraud Protection

We’ve got your back.

Specializing in safely and securely storing information

Though adhering to Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS) keeps your network secure and limits physical access to your patients’ credit card data, additional measures must be taken to protect your enterprise from fraud.

Healthcare payment systems are one of the top targets for cyber thieves, and online theft is only one type of fraud. Without the right protection in place, even something as simple as an employee losing a business laptop can put sensitive information in the wrong hands. Losing patient information to theft or hacking can be an extremely costly proposition, not only financially but in the critical areas of reputation management and patient relationships.

Rectangle Health specializes in payment data security for healthcare enterprises. We offer basic protections such as address verification, as well as the most advanced technologies to ensure maximum protection for practices of all sizes.

Fraud Monitoring

Trained risk management experts monitor transactions on a regular basis, so that safety and security is upheld and any instance of fraud is detected.

Full Chargeback Protection

Rectangle Health stands beside you if a patient disputes a charge.

Address Verification System

An Address Verification System (AVS) combats card theft by verifying the identity of every online payer, comparing the billing address they provide with the address on file at the financial institution that issued the credit card.

Point-to-Point Encryption

Our point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution encodes payment card data from the time a card is swiped (or dipped or tapped) until it reaches the payment processor. Data is therefore never readable to someone trying to steal it.

Tokenization

Our Card on File solution within Practice Management Bridge uses tokenization to turn stored card numbers into tokens – randomly generated sets of numbers that are meaningful only to the card processor.

A significant portion of provider revenue —more than 9 percent of patients — was vulnerable to loss in 2020 due to poor customer experiences.1
