Benjamin Turnwald Dentistry is a successful, rapidly growing dental practice and a Rectangle Health client. Based in Schaumburg, Ill., Benjamin Turnwald Dentistry is very focused on providing an exceptional experience for the patient. Founder and owner Benjamin Turnwald, DDS, started the practice with the goal of changing patients’ perceptions around going to the dentist and the experience they have.
Dr. Turnwald recently joined The Modern Practice Podcast to provide a look at the business side of operating a dental practice. We also asked him about his experience as Rectangle Health client, using Practice Management Bridge® to streamline patient payments and integrate with his practice management software.
Can you discuss your experience as a client? How did you first learn about Rectangle Health?
I’ve been a customer of Rectangle Health for about a year now. And I will say my experience with them has been pretty amazing from the start. I was introduced to the company at a dental conference. Amaris Conerty, our sales rep, was absolutely amazing and friendly, helping us to decide what the best options were and what the best package was.
How was onboarding the platform and how have things been going?
We also had a great onboarding experience; my team very quickly was able to learn the software, which is huge. Because a lot of times you get a lot of pushback from your teams when you try to implement new software or new systems. So, that was great.
And really, anytime we’ve had even the smallest question or issue—and not that there’s been that many—customer service and even our rep have stayed in contact with us as really great resources. It’s just been really positive. There’s no sitting on hold or waiting for a call back. Customer service is really big to me and my team, because that’s the type of service that we offer at our practice to our patients. And so, whenever we can find other vendors or other businesses that offer that same level of customer service, I’m all in.
Has working with Rectangle Health improved the experience for your patients?
I think from a patient standpoint, utilizing Rectangle Health has modernized our checkout experience. Now being able to accept Apple Pay and Android Pay, and having the chip readers, as just added another aspect that now matches the clinical side with all the tech that we have in the backside of the office. And we’ve been able to also modernize the way that we collect money out of office. So, electronic billing and Text to Pay been very, very well received by our patients.
How has Practice Management Bridge integrated with your systems overall?
I think the efficiency that this has given us in bridging to our patient management software has been great. My admin team just absolutely loves it because it has saved them so much time, as far as the integration and having to crosscheck things. So, we’ve had nothing but a positive experience with Rectangle Health. We highly recommend them to other dental practices and other healthcare providers out there.
